What we do?
Write For The Culture is here to help black writers cultivate their creativity. We also seek to celebrate our favorite black books, films, songs and their creators. With focuses on writing and reading, we inspire black writers to add to the very culture that sets the trends for the rest of the world. Black culture. From weekly writing prompts, words of the day and our monthly book club, we look to equip and empower black storytellers.
Why we do it?
The ultimate act of revolution for black people isn't just to read and write, but to read and write well and boldly. We not only want to provide the methods that can help to make that happen, we want to bring to the forefront those in our community who are successfully doing that.
ALL who desire to join the celebration of black writers and creators across the African diaspora are welcome.
